How to Get to Disney BoardWalk Restaurants
Disney’s BoardWalk is easily accessible from multiple EPCOT resorts, including the BoardWalk Inn & Villas, Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort and Villas,
Staying near Disney Springs or elsewhere in Orlando? The BoardWalk is a great option to do something different in Disney dining. It is accessible to guests even when park reservations aren’t available.

Plan Disney Transportation Accordingly
If you’re heading to Disney’s BoardWalk from one of the Disney theme parks plan accordingly. While you can walk over quickly from EPCOT it can take a little bit longer from other Disney parks. Here are travel times and Disney transportation options to Disney’s BoardWalk. Of course Uber or Lyft are always options as well if you don’t mind paying to arrive faster.
- From Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Your only real option here is going to be a bus and that ride takes about 20-25 minutes. Catch one to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn (less walking) or you can also bus to and walk from Disney’s Yacht & Beach Clubs or the Disney’s Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve. Do NOT bus to EPCOT. You will end up at the front entrance which will require you to enter the park to come out the back end near the BoardWalk!
- From Magic Kingdom: The bus is your only real option here. You can take a bus to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn (less walking) or bus to and walk from Disney’s Yacht & Beach Clubs or the Disney’s Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve. Again, do NOT bus or take the monorail to EPCOT. Both come out in the front of the park requiring a park ticket to cut through to BoardWalk.
- From Hollywood Studios: You’ve got the most options from this park. You can walk along a lit, paved path that is less than a mile. Catch a boat over. Or take a bus to Boardwalk Inn or one of the other EPCOT-area resorts. The walk takes 15ish minutes, the boat is quicker but combined with waiting for its departure plan for 20 minutes and the bus takes 10 minutes plus your wait time.

Flying Fish (Dinner) (Open Wednesday- Sunday)
If you’re looking for a fine dining experience at one of Disney’s BoardWalk restaurants, Flying Fish is going to be a winner. This dining experience is one you’ll remember and is convenient to BoardWalk area resort hotels. While Flying Fish’s focus is sustainable seafood, there are multiple options on their menu ranging from Hokkaido Scallops to Sea Bass to a Tomahawk Rib-Eye Steak for Two. Entrees start at $38.
At first glance, you may only see one tofu vegetarian/vegan option. However, I’ve dined with friends who have been offered off-menu vegetarian and vegan options that were amazing.
Note that the dress code is smart casual for this table service restaurant.
We recommend making reservations if you’d like to eat at Flying Fish. There are opportunities to get in without them, but they’re usually not at ideal times.
Hint: If you’re looking for more of a steakhouse, you can wander over to the Yachtsman at Yacht Club.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works (Lunch, Dinner)
Visit a micro-brewery at Disney! Don’t worry; it’s family-friendly and features traditional brewpub favorites like nachos, giant salads, meatloaf, sandwiches, burgers and creamy macaroni and cheese. Six beers are brewed onsite and you can witness the brewing process. Prices are in line with normal quick table service spots you’d visit “in real life.” Definitely a great Disney BoardWalk restaurant choice for the beer fan in the family. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.
Trattoria al Forno (Breakfast, Dinner)
Billed as a “boisterous tavern,” Trattoria al Forno serves a varied Italian menu ranging from pizzas to Osso Buco and steak. This location previously housed Kouzzina with Chef Cat Cora at the helm.
One of the things we really like about Trattoria al Forno is the variety of dishes as well as prices. With kids ranging in age (and appetite). the appetizer options can be great stand-in entrees and a pizza for two of them to split weighs in around $20. Also to note – this location has an open kitchen.
BoardWalk Deli (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The only restaurant on the BoardWalk serving all three meals, the BoardWalk Deli is located in the former BoardWalk Bakery space. From the bagel egg and cheese sandwiches to the Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich, each dish was a hit with my crew. The croissants at Boardwalk Deli are serious business. As in the size of my toddler’s head serious. If you’re not in a rush to get to the theme parks, breakfast at BoardWalk Deli is a pleasant choice. Grab some pastries and hang out on the benches around Crescent Lake.
The menu is typical for Disney quick service locations. For lunch and dinner there are veggie, seafood, roast beef, turkey and ham and Swiss sandwiches. They’re all great choices for lunch and most cost under $11. Salads are also available. If you’re bringing the kiddos, there are two kids sandwich options – ham and cheese, and turkey.
BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas (Snacks)
When you want to cut loose a bit but don’t feel like venturing into EPCOT to hit up Mexico, you can grab a watermelon margarita, a beer or a pineapple smoothie with a shot of spiced rum (Captain’s Seaside Sensation) at BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas! Have kids in tow? Don’t fret it. Appease them with a Mickey pretzel or nachos or an amazing DOLE Whip Smoothie. Also, don’t miss the jalapeno-stuffed pretzel if you want to kick it up a bit in the spice level.
BoardWalk Ice Cream (Snacks)
Located where Ample Creamery used to be, BoardWalk Ice Cream has a full treat menu that appeals to everyone. Several plant-based items are on the menu and they have some great milkshake options. The Ride the Wave Sundae is large enough to share. A vintage beverage list offers classic favorites like Egg Creams, Tropical Seltzers and Cherry Limeades.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (Lunch, Dinner)
Technically this one is in Disney’s Beach Club resort near the BoardWalk but it needs to be included! My recommendation is solely based on the experience and the Kitchen Sink Sundae. I booked this last minute on a trip with my two daughters. Imagine their shock when I took them to eat a giant ice cream sundae as our lunch. It was a core memory and a fun surprise. The Kitchen Sink Sundae consists of Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with, Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, SNICKERS® pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and tons of additional toppings for $36.
The three of us didn’t even come close to finishing it.
Funnel Cake Cart (Snacks) (Temporarily Unavailable)
This one is pretty self-explanatory. If you like funnel cakes, they’ve got them. You can add ice cream or chocolate to them. They also serve cotton candy and fried ice cream.
Pizza Window (Snacks)
To be perfectly honest, we’re a little sad about the Pizza Window. Back in the day, you could grab pizza by the slice. That is no longer available. Prices start at 8.79 now for a personal cheese pizza. It’s not a flavor sensation. It is easy and a great option to grab and bring back to the hotel room. Buy a few of these and you’ll be the food hero. You can also snag a table looking over Crescent Lake and dine al fresco.
FYI For the gluten free folks out there, they do offer gluten free pizza.
The To-Go Cart (Snacks)
Was it a long day in the park? If you’re not ready to sit down at a Disney BoardWalk restaurant, The To-Go Cart is a fabulous option. With hot dogs, French fries, mozzarella sticks, burgers and pulled pork sandwiches on the menu, this is an easy-peasy option for tired kiddos (or grown-ups).
Belle Vue Lounge (Breakfast, Bar)
This slightly unusual space is located at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. It serves breakfast (grab-and-go style muffins, scones and yogurt) in the morning and in the evening it’s a bar. With its 1930s style, it’s a great lounge to chill in with family or friends. There are board games available to borrow and play over a cocktail. Be sure to try the Smoked Turkey if you’re a bourbon lover.
AbracadaBar (Bar)
AbracadaBar bills itself as a bar that brings the magic. The backstory “lore” surrounding the AbracadaBar is that magicians and illusionists used to frequent it until it went “poof” into thin air. I love me some Disney theming (and may still be crying over the closing of Disney’s Pleasure Island Adventurer’s Club- anyone else remember that?). The details are on point. You’ll walk in through doors that say Open Sesame over them. I may not be good at magic tricks but I’m excellent at making libations vanish.
Don’t worry y’all. I only want the best for you so I took it upon myself to taste test some drinks. The winners for me? Pepper’s Ghost which combines pineapple vodka and habanero lime. I like a drink that bites back! If you really want to embrace the magic, then order the Conjurita. Spoiler alert: It’s not just your average margarita. It changes colors! If you’re feeling snack-y they also serve food.
Jellyrolls (Entertainment)
At Disney BoardWalk, you don’t just find restaurants. There are some nightlife options to discover as well! If it’s fun and drinks that you’re looking for, make sure you put Jellyrolls on your To-Do list. Long after Disney goes to sleep, Jellyrolls is still open with their dueling pianos and sing-alongs.
Things You Need to Know About Jellyrolls:
- It’s 21+
- There is a $18 cover charge.
- It stays open until 1:45 a.m.
- They do not serve food, so eat before you go.
- You don’t need reservations, but if you’d like a table, go early.
Atlantic Dance Hall (Entertainment)
If you get to Disney and can’t control the urge to boogie, your best bet is the Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk. It’ll make all the 80s and 90s kids out there excited with the music and it stays open late. Located in front of the Disney Swan, there is no cover.

- It is open Thursday-Sunday from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.
- It is 21+
- Eat before you go. No food is served.
Screen Door General Store
It’s not a restaurant exactly, but if you’re staying in one of the Disney Vacation Club properties, the Screen Door General Store will be a stop on your list to grab supplies. From breakfast items to make in your room to souvenirs to giant Mickey cookies, they have it all! Located at Disney’s BoardWalk resort this shop is easy to access from the EPCOT resort area for last minute needs.
Disney BoardWalk Restaurants that Have Closed Permanently
In the last few years we’ve monitored COVID closures and some temporary closures led to permanent shut downs. At Disney’s BoardWalk the following restaurants have closed for good.
- ESPN Club (soon to be occupied by The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, an award winning table service and bakery concept out of Carmel, California)
- Ample Hills Creamery (replaced by BoardWalk Ice Cream)
