Ah, travel products. We love them. On these pages we tell you what to need to know before you spend your hard-earned money on a shiny new travel gadget. Our travel product reviews tell you whether the product really worked as promised, whether it met the travel need it promised to meet and whether it is worth the money you would spend to buy.
Some of the products we review really are only for travel. Things like suitcases fall into that category. Every traveler needs a good one, with four sturdy wheels that won’t fall off, a handle that won’t break, and enough room inside to hold the things you need it to hold. A unique design that makes it easy to spot on the luggage carousel? That’s bonus points.
Creative Travel Products
Other products might market themselves as travel products but really have many uses both on the road and at home. For example, travel clothes. These are made from comfortable, wrinkle-free, hand washable, quick drying fabrics that make it easy to wear one day, wash in the hotel sink and drip dry overnight. But those same properties make those clothes great for a long day at work as well.
Likewise, the right backpack—one that is roomy but lightweight, can easily get through TSA airport screening, has plenty of pockets to keep everything organized and accessible—is just as handy for high school students going to school every day.
And then there are the travel products you never thought of as travel products. Things like Ziploc bags fall into this category. We Traveling Moms never leave home with our Ziploc bags, in a variety of sizes for a variety of uses.
