My Room at DoubleTree Claremont Hotel
For my stay in Claremont, I enjoyed a large room overlooking the pool, outfitted with two double beds dressed in white cotton linens. In hues of flax and chocolate, my room provided lots of space for a pack-n-play or roll-away.
My room featured a work desk with a charging station along with task lighting and an ergonomic chair. In the corner of the room, an upholstered chair with an ottoman and a reading lamp provided a place to read.
On a console in my room, I found a beverage station with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branded coffee and tea bags along with real coffee creamers. Above the console, a 37-inch TV provided entertainment. In the console, I found the mini-refrigerator, perfect for storing bottled waters or take-out. Of course, drawers provided storage for clothing.
Outside my sliding glass door, I walked out on the balcony overlooking the palm-shaded courtyard with a view of the pool. A perfect place to have an evening cocktail with a pair of chairs and a small table.
My Bathroom at the DoubleTree Claremont Hotel
My bathroom at the DoubleTree Claremont featured a granite countertop along with decorative lighting and a make-up mirror. The tub/shower combination was a standard but featured a stone tile surround.
Since I use the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries at home, I loved finding them in the bathroom. For my stay, I found a lot of towels along with a hair dryer.
In the mirrored closet, I found a pair of plush robes and two pairs of slippers to use during my stay. I also found a programmable safe large enough for my laptop.
Where to eat at the DoubleTree Claremont Hotel
The DoubleTree Claremont features a full-service restaurant, The Orchard Restaurant, on premises. With a menu of California-Mediterranean fusion favorites, guests can dine steps from their rooms.
During my stay, I dined at The Orchard each morning for the full breakfast buffet. With an omelette bar, assorted French pastries, and a Belgium waffle bar, I also found breakfast staples like French toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns along with several types of sausage and applewood bacon.
The buffet serves Starbucks coffee along with assorted juices. Yogurt, fresh fruit and the kids’ favorite cereals are also available. I can’t imagine anyone walking away hungry.
With a full bar that serves up cocktails, wine and beer, relaxing comes easy. In the evening, I stopped by for a margarita before I headed to the pool.
Family Fun at the DoubleTree Claremont Hotel
Surrounded by palm trees, the outdoor pool features depths of two-feet, three-feet and nine-feet though no lifeguard on duty. I found lots of loungers surrounding the pool, some in the sun and others in the shade.
The DoubleTree Claremont features a fitness room with assorted machines and free weights.
