First of all, you’re not a bad parent if you want a kid-free evening on vacation. Chances are the kids will probably welcome the idea. If you’re feeling guilty about wanting a nice, quiet dinner without your children, don’t. After all, you did take them on a Disney vacation.
Disney has created the perfect location for your children to go and enjoy a night to themselves while you take the night off too. They will have so much fun at the Pixar Play Zone they won’t want to leave at the end of the night. Guaranteed.

What is the Pixar Play Zone?
The Pixar Play Zone is a new Disney Kids Club located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort exclusively for children ages 4-12.
A Pixar-packed evening of fun and games is the perfect way for your children to unwind after a day in the parks. This on-site child care at Walt Disney World is fantastic because it’s a safe location for children to still experience the magic of Disney while giving adults the opportunity for some time to themselves.
What are the Hours of Operation?
The Pixar Kids Club is open every evening from 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. While the doors open for registration at approximately 5:00 p.m., actual programming doesn’t begin until 6:00 p.m.
What Kind of Entertainment is Provided?
To begin, in Space Ranger Training, the kids learn how to identify and battle enemies of Star Command. To Infinity and Beyond! Next, at Woody’s Roundup, Woody and Jessie will teach the kids the ways of the Wild, Wild West. Later, they will have an opportunity to build a race car and actually race it at the Piston Cup Challenge.
Finally, at the Incredibles Dance Party, kids will learn fun line dances and some pretty smooth dance moves from Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. The younger children will love Bonnie’s Playroom, where they can sit and play with toys.
It’s kind of hard to feel guilty about using child care in Walt Disney World when it includes character interactions, arcade games, and non-stop fun.
Is Dinner Included?
Yes! The menu features a choice of entrées with fruit or vegetable sides, as well as sweet treats such as themed cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. Beverages include milk, chocolate milk, juice and water.
How Much Does the Pixar Play Zone Character Experience Cost?
The price for this amazing night of fun and games is only $65, plus tax, per child. Basically, you are looking at around $14.50 per hour for your child to go and play with Disney characters in a safe environment with dinner included. That’s what I call a bargain.
Chances are you spend that much on a babysitter at home and the entertainment doesn’t even come close to what is offered at the Pixar Play Zone.
How Do I Make Reservations?
You can make reservations for the Pixar Play Zone by calling 407-824-KIDS (5437). Currently reservations are being accepted through April 2019.
Important Details to Know
The Pixar Play Zone is currently in a pilot program and is not a permanent offering at the Walt Disney World Resort. This Kids Club opened in April 2018 and has been extremely successful to date. Disney will continue to extend the pilot program based on its success and hopefully it will become permanent in the future. At this time, the Pixar Play Zone is the only on-site child care option at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Children must be fully potty-trained to attend the Pixar Play Zone.
The parent who drops the children off MUST be the parent who picks the children up at the end of the evening. No exceptions.
