It’s about that time of year when people in North America have had enough of winter, and begin dreaming of warmer sunnier places – usually involving a beach. The Caribbean hosts plenty of islands to choose from, and Saint Lucia has plenty of beaches. While the name “Pigeon Island Beach” probably doesn’t read well in a travel magazine, the photos certainly do. With good reason: Pigeon Island is in fact a National Park protected by Saint Lucia National Trust. With crystal-clear waters for snorkeling, and historic forts for exploring, there’s plenty to do beyond seeking out secluded sandy beaches.
