We are the Kellogg family! We are 14 strong, 12 kids, two parents and one dog. Our Kellogg family adventures includes whitewater kayaking, snowboarding, rafting, surfing, SUP’ing, climbing, caving, bouldering, camping, mountain biking … you name it, we love it.
In 2012 we sold everything we owned (except our home, which was underwater and remains so today) and we now live in a 36’ RV, traveling across the entire continent. It’s been a little over two years and we’ve logged more than 50,000 miles, visited 30+ states and all of Eastern Canada. What began as a fun vacation has transformed into a way of life.
Since we started traveling I can honestly say we’ve seen and done more than in our entire lives combined and I can’t imagine ever traveling without our kids. They keep us young, inspired, fun-loving and open-minded. They are truly the ultimate traveling companions.
Living in the Now
We have always valued living in the now, for today, and spending every minute with each other because time is the most valuable commodity we have. So we traded everything in for the unknown, a spontaneous, adventure filled dream that inspires us to wake every day in anticipation. Instead of alarm clocks and schedules, our days are now filled with non-stop fun-filled adventures alongside the people who matter most to us in the world!
It works because we are a tight family and we don’t let anything stop us from achieving our dreams. We’ve found ultimate freedom from the clutches of materialism and all that it entails. We are not trust fund babies and we are not welfare recipients. Dan works like crazy as a Software Engineer while I homeschool our kids.
Any questions, feel free to ask, we love to help other people discover their inner nomad. Hope to meet you on the road someday.
