2012 was an “elephant” of a year, with much to reflect upon. I watched this elephant in the sunset at Chobe National Park in Botswana last October. Being out in the wilds of Africa, one is so far removed from daily life back home that opportunities to reflect are abundant, and moments like these magically tie everything together. I felt this photo best represents how it feels to be moving slowly and steadily into the New Year 2013, while reflecting on the year past. Here’s to the wide open plains of possibility that 2013 will bring! PHOTO TIP: Watch for image reflections in water when framing and cropping.
