Continuing with the theme of architectural detail, Mexico provides countless opportunities to capture a story of the place in a single shot. San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as being a mecca for artists from all over the world. Carved wood doors are characteristic of this part of Mexico, and I found that cropping just a portion, instead of photographing the entire door, serves not only to represent the place, but also makes the photograph a work of art in itself.
