What to do with hundreds of photos from a trip to Hawaii showcasing the beauty of Oahu? Share them of course!

Me and my Nikon on a photo journey in Oahu.

Waikiki Beach

Possibly the most recognizable mountain in the United States, maybe the world. Diamond Head is a volcano crater sitting DestinationReviewmajestically at the eastern end of Waikiki, Views from the beach and if you’re lucky from a Waikiki catamaran boat ride are definitely worth capturing.

Hiking Diamond Head

Even more interesting is hiking the crater to the peak and enjoying the panoramic views from the top looking down on Waikiki and most of the south eastern corner of the island!

Pearl Harbor — Somber Beauty

Pearl Harbor has been newly Revamped and is now considered part of the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument. The USS Arizona Memorial is the highlight of visiting Pearl Harbor.

“Alfred Preis, architect of the USS Arizona Memorial, offered this symbol of renewal to inspire contemplation in visitors to the memorial.” I was captivated by the statue on the grounds of Pearl Harbor, and at the end of the USS Arizona Memorial ‘bridge’ where the window motif duplicates.

Disclosure: One day of my Oahu Journey was a day trip sponsored by The rest of my trip was on my own dime and time. I use a NikonD5000 challenging myself to ‘Go Manual, or Go Home’! Also some photos above are taken with my #HTCOneMax and my favorite in-phone editor app is Snapseed (free) and I use the HDR filter WAY too much!
