When it comes to family vacations, are you a rigid planner or do you like to just dive into the unexpected? What is some of the best advice you’ve ever recieved for family travel? We tackled these entertaining questions and more at one of our two June 20 #TMOM Monday Twitter Parties.
WHAT IS UR VACAY PLANNING STYLE? WING IT? PLAN IT? DOES IT WORK?
@DebMomOf3: I usually plan it out, as much as possible. But – some of best trips have been last-minute, wing-it ones!
@dovgame: Last summer we decided to drive to Niagara for 3 days that same day
IF YOU WIN @SANANTONIO TRIP WHAT ARE YR NEXT 3 STEPS TO PLAN FOR IT?
@projecthope7: Would donate it 2 a returning Texas stationed Military soldier…
What’s your best family vacation advice?
@OhioCatfish: Plan ahead
@luvmy_babygio: I like the idea of letting each kid plan an activity. Everyone gets something we want to do. I do less planning.
@familytravel4um: Best family travel advice – slow it down, savor the moments, kids grow so quickly.
What’s advice would you give to a new mom about planning a family vacation?
@AMomBlog: Take it slow and give yourself time to enjoy it. Give yourself some rest time too.
@dovgame: Don’t drug kids w/electronics, except for flights and try to make getting there fun.
@ramblingstump: Eat on off times or at non-kid restaurants w baby. Our baby gets overstimulated if she hears other kids crying/whining
What is your biggest travel mistake?
@luvmy_babygio: Getting a meal plan in vegas.. even tho we paid a fortune for it the restuarants didn’t make u priority had to wait..
@kamewh: I haven’t had a big travel mistake yet and hope I never do!
@kymri: Biggest mistake? packing too many shoes
@mommytravels: flying into the wrong airport!
