January 23 #TMOM Twitter Party –  Off Season Travel

Just the other day, my husband pointed out that, miraculously, all of our children will be elsewhere this weekend. “Let’s go down the shore,” he suggested, because he knows me so well.

Now, those of you who don’t know better think of the shore as a summers only destination. And those of us who know better hope to keep it that way! After all, we want to keep the secret of off season shore time to ourselves. (Think no crowds, cheaper rates, and the time to explore dining options without waiting….just for starters!)

Ah, but there are no secrets here at TravelingMom. That’s why we will be sharing all the benefits of off season travel at our next #TMOM Twitter Party on January 23 at 9 p.m. ET. We’ll let you in on the perks of off season visits to theme parks, attractions, big cities and, yes, even the beach. (I think I’ll make a reservation this time, just in case!)

Vacation All Year Long

Never considered vacationing beyond the typical seasonal trip? Now’s the time to start! Many destinations are welcoming visitors year-round, but those who go in the off season will have their choice of dinner reservation times, the front seat on the roller coasters, and the rooms with the best views – often at appealing, off season pricing!

(Another secret benefit – locals may be friendlier when their hometown isn’t being overrun by tourists. It’s the best way to get an authentic local experience!
