What’s not to like about fall travel? Halloween is lurking with its haunted houses, its corn mazes, its grinning jack-o-lanterns and tricks and treats at every turn. The world is in full harvest. Apples are juicier and the foliage paints the countryside brigth. Autumn may just be the most inspiring season for a scary fun day trip – and the choices are endless! Join us at the next #TMOM Twitter Party at 9 p.m. on October 16, when we share our favorite fun or scary fall day trips.

October 16 #TMOM Twitter Party – Scary Fun Fall Day Trips For Halloween

Fall is the perfect time for a day trip. If you love the changing foliage, you can just take a drive to see the gorgeous colors of fall. There are festivals galore, celebrating everything from apples to bourbon and from grapes to balloons.

And, of course, it’s also Halloween season, which means you can spend the day wandering through a corn maze, then enjoy being frightened at night. From the solemn graveyards to the paranormal and from the haunted houses to the spookiest sites in our history, we are intrigued by the gruesome, the supernatural, the frightening, the unexplainable. That’s what we’re talking about at the October 16 #TMOM Twitter party. So join us at for the tips at 9 p.m. ET  – and learn all about the fun that will conjure up only happy spirits!

Autumn is ablaze with more than color. It’s also full of activity. There’s something to do to celebrate the season throughout the country – and we’re here to point you to the best fall day trips around, because we’ve been there (and are probably going again!). Are you up for something a bit more seasonally scary? We’ve been there too….and we can talk you through the haunted and the not-so-much. (And in true #TMOM style, we have the ins and outs of what’s going on at Disney for Halloween, too!)

So join us – won’t you? – at the October 16 #TMOM Twitter party, when we’re sharing all our favorite Halloween and autumn day trips. Let’s gather around the campfire – or, better yet, the Twitter feed – and talk about our favorite spooky sites and autumn activities. We’ll share the details (so the faint of heart can be prepared!), discuss our favorite haunts, and talk strategies for our kids (after all, we’re looking to have fun – not deal with nightmares for months!). Join in the conversation at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, October 16.
