We travel to relax, refresh, reconnect. But we also travel with responsibility, especially to the locations and cultures that host our favorite adventures. Want to take steps to make sure your travel is a little greener, more eco-friendly this year? Then join us at the next #TMOM Twitter party, sponsored by Ricardo Beverly Hills. On Monday, April 18, at 9 p.m. ET,  we’ll trading tips on sustainable travel – and giving away a great piece of luggage as well.

April 18  #TMOM Twitter Party – Sustainable Travel

We at #TMOM are making travel our legacy, something we will pass on to not only our readers but also to our families and future generations. But we don’t want our grandchildren to hear our “It used to be like this…” stories. We want them to experience firsthand the diverse cultures and glorious destinations that made us fall in love with travel to begin with. That’s why we’re dedicated to the idea of sustainable travel – and we want you to be too. That’s why we’re centering our next #TMOM Twitter party on sustainable travel – a green party just in time for Earth Day!

Does making your travel green and sustainable limit you to vacations down on the farm? Not at all. Cities like San Francisco and even Detroit have made moves toward becoming more eco-friendly, while international locales like France and Peru are doing the same . We can help you find the most eco-friendly destinations in the country and where to find “green” luggage for your next trip. We even have tips on how to impact the future while visiting Disney World – because it truly is a small world, and it’s our job to sustain it!

Join us next Monday, April 18, at 9 p.m. for the #TMOM Twitter party, all about sustainable travel. We’ll discuss how our vacations can be locally influenced, what lodging choices are the most eco-friendly, and how to choose the “greener” transportation options. We’ll talk about how the travel industry can help sustain the environment and culture we love to visit – and we’ll recognize those that already do. And, yes, we may even talk about how to change the baby’s dirty cloth diaper while on a nature hike. Let’s celebrate Earth Day by thinking green – and assuring our favorite “happy places” are still around when our grandkids are traveling!
