Pizza, go carts, bumper cars, laser tag – oh my! Where you going to go to get all that and more? Is it all that incredible? Or semi-incredible? Read on for a credible look at the family-friendly Incredible Pizza, St. Louis, Missouri.
Incredible or Meh? Review of Incredible, Pizza, St. Louis, Missouri
I am the kind of mom that spends months hyping my kids up about a place that I have found, especially if it sounds really cool. I’m always on the lookout for family-friendly restaurants. I read about Incredible Pizza in St. Louis, Missouri and decided it sounded just like the place an eight year old boy would want to celebrate his birthday. After teasing him with visions of go carts, bumper cars, and laser tag, no surprise that he agreed.
Upon arriving at Incredible Pizza, I was greeted with the unorganized mass chaos of families attempting to get into this place – obviously popular as evidenced by the long line. We grabbed our spot in line and waited our turn – only to be cut in front of a half a dozen times. Our wait was maybe 45 minutes to an hour, not terribly long considering it was a Saturday morning and apparently twenty birthday parties or groups were there also.
When I reached the counter to purchase our passes, the cashier quickly flips over the flyer – only showing me the highest priced packages. Annoying! Again I say annoying! Fortunately I had done my research and knew exactly what I wanted and asked her for that package. She sighed and rang up my order.
As a family of four, we spent $65 dollars on four buffet meals, two $10.00 game cards, and eight attractions. Not a terrible deal considering one of the kids hit the jackpot on the game and won 900 prize tickets. The result: we walked out with more junk than the local dollar store.
Bottom Line – Is Incredible Pizza Worth the Trip?
In reality, $9.99 for a pizza buffet is not expensive and the selection is huge – not just the pizza, but the food selection. The dining area is unique and well designed. There are four separate dining areas with special themes, making it unique and fun. However, it appeared birthday party groups were mixed in with regular customers, making it a tad confusing and very loud.
The games are tricky, but fun. Not all the games are the same price nor do all of them give you prize tickets. To say the least, this was confusing for an 8 and 12 year old. The $10 game cards each did seem to go farther than I thought it would and the kids were both happy at the end of the day.
The attractions were what made this place worth the wait and the money.
Indoor bumper cars – and not just bumper cars, these are really cool bumper cars, designed so that almost any age can navigate them.
We passed on the go carts, even though that was what was most hyped. The go cart track looked really cool, but the signs and directions were confusing, and there was a bit of a line. Eight year olds have limited patience.
The mini golf was a hit, after we managed to figure out how to get our balls. I will say kudos to the customer service with the mini golf. We messed up not once, but three times at the ball machine, and they took care of us and made it all better.
At the end of our visit, I had smiling faces, tons of prizes, and learned a few things to do the next time we visit Incredible Pizza in St Louis, Missouri.
So yes, Incredible Pizza is worth the trip.
