Packing for a vacation can be a real pain, especially when it comes to kids’ clothes. It seems almost impossible to keep everything organized before, during and after a trip when kids are involved. Luckily, I have discovered the best packing tip for kids’ clothes. Trust me, this is one you’ll use over and over!
One of the hassles for traveling with kids is shuffling through their travel bags to find matching shirts and pants or a pair of socks. They often have everything a complete mess the first day into the trip. When my kids were little I came up with this easy method that allowed them to dress themselves easily.
The Best Packing Tip for Kids’ Clothes
When you are packing for a trip, just a little preparation can go a long way. To make everyone’s life a little easier during a vacation,I lay out as many full outfits, which is including pants/ bottoms, shirt/top underwear and socks, for as many days as we will be away. For my daughter I would also include any head bands, hair clips or extra accessories.
Then roll up into a tight roll and put into a gallon size zip locking bag. This not only keeps everything together and save space, but we always end up needing a few zip locking bags for wet clothes or some other reason. This way we use them more than once.
Now that the clothes are organized into outfits your kids can pull out a bag and get ready quickly with very little help and their suitcase can stay a little more organized.
