Our new Sanity Expert, Anne Witkavitch will be here every week with advice and tips to help traveling moms stay sane at home and on the road. When I shared the news with my husband that the folks at TravelingMom.com had asked me to be their resident “sanity expert,” he was a bit confused.
“Surely you mean insanity,” he said.
As women, particularly traveling moms, we work especially hard at maintaining our sanity when the world around us is going crazy. Achieving balance on the go is a practiced art, one that requires skills and techniques to meet the myriad challenges we face everyday. Whether we’re boarding a plane, hopping on a train or subway, commuting in cars, or taking a vacation, staying calm, focused and balanced is the key to maintaining peace of mind for ourselves and the health and well-being of our families.
Staying sane keeps us productive, successful and most of all, happy.
But how do we do it all with poise, grace and a sense of humor when we’re constantly on the go? Each week I’ll share valuable tips, advice and suggestions about how to achieve balance, no matter where life takes us on a particular day.
After countless years as a global communications leader for a Fortune 100 company and, now, a writer, speaker, consultant and coach, I’ve learned a thing or two about juggling breastfeeding and baggage claim, school plays and client crises, science project due dates and off-site meetings.
I’ll share helpful tips from other moms on the go, as well as answer your questions about the sanity challenges you’re facing. In the midst of the crazy, wild and wonderful things happening in your life, I hope you’ll visit me each week for a “Sanity” check at TravelingMom.com.
