Do your kids love sports? Might you have an aspiring MLB player at home? It’s baseball season, but not just in the Majors. It’s a perfect time to catch a college baseball game!
College teams started their season earlier this year and heading to a game is a great family activity – with a great price, atmosphere and experience! Best of all, you are likely to find a college baseball team within your city limits, with far more college teams than major league or minor league teams!
University of Miami Canes Baseball Game Experience
College baseball games are often fairly affordable. At a University of Miami Hurricane’s Game that we attended the tickets were just $10 for adults and $9 for kids for the General Admission seats.
The stadium was full, but not packed, and filled with other families. The college students in attendance were not rude and to be honest there were far more non students cheering on. The concessions were the only aspect that had high prices, with $3.50 sodas!
College baseball provides a quality of play relatively close to professional with an atmosphere ideal for families. Your littlest fan has an opportunity to see real players with great talent. The season continues on until mid-June so there is plenty of time to get your Cracker Jacks and head to the ballpark!
Finding Local Games
Do some research and find out when’s the next game in your area. You can access the NCAA Baseball website to see schedules, articles and other information about the season. Or check your local college’s athletic specific website. I promise it be a fun family event worth considering!
