Best Travel AppsYes, Virginia, there really is an app for everything – especially when it comes to travel. As a commercial airline pilot, my husband loads up his iPhone with travel apps, which then download to my iPhone at the same time. Sometimes I keep them, other times I let him take them for a test drive and let me know which ones are worth keeping. Here’s a list of apps I find worth the MB, and faves from other travel bloggers as well.

Best Airline Travel Apps
FlightView – Shows you all airlines flying between city pairs for specific dates/times you enter and tracks flights by flight number/route. My husband likes this one and uses it regularly. No need for airline specific apps – this one app gives you all the airlines routes in one place.

Gate Guru – Provides real-time flight status with push notifications along with a wealth of airport content specifically customized to YOUR itinerary and reserve last-minute airport rental cars. – Julie Cohn of
