I was raised to be sure I left behind a thank you note for my host any time I was visiting friends or family. My mom is the sneaky type–leaving a note under a pillow or in a bedside table drawer. Now that I’m an adult, I try to teach my children to do the same. But to be honest, I rarely travel with thank you cards in my purse these days. Now, I don’t have to!
There’s an app that makes it simple to say thanks without note cards–and without going to a ton of trouble. It’s the iGiftThanks app and all you have to do is take a picture of your family enjoying the home or some place they visited while on the trip. Then pick out one of the background options on the app and type out a simple text letting your host know how much you enjoyed their home. Hit send and you’re done! If you forgot to take a pic you can have your children write out a quick note or drawing and take a pic of that. You can then send it as an e-greeting. Pretty simple, huh?
With it being new years and all I’m resolving this year to be a better guest and make sure my hosts always know how much I appreciate their hospitatlity. This app will make that easier to do.
What do you resolve to do this year when it comes to travel? Let us know during the TravelingMom twitter party this Monday, Jan 3, from 9-10pmEST. You can find out more by clicking here.
Meantime, if you want to buy the app, click here for all the details on the site. I’m sure you’ll thank me later!
