I’ve been living in Antigua, Guatemala for the past two months almost and have been to wrapped up in daily life and settling in that my family and I haven’t had a chance to get out and enjoy this glorious city. My brother had some free time and came to visit us for a short visit and to be the good hosts and also introduce him authentic Guatemalan food. Truth be told, I needed some introducing in this field myself.

The most popular typical restaurant Cuevita de las Urquiza. We tried all the most popular dishes such as Jocon, which is a green colored sauce but not spicy, and Pepian De Pollo, which is similar to a chicken stew. Plus a ton of tamales, salads and good wine!

It was an unexpected perfect experience!
