So our original plan for spring break was to head to Washington D.C.   We were going to see the cherry blossoms and the museums and monuments while my husband worked.  We’d be together and have a little fun at the same time.  Things changed.  My husband now needed to go with no distractions and I needed to go somewhere so here I with my laptop in Nana’s magic bus headed south on I-287.  We’re blazing our way through New Jersey with our final destination still hours and hours away.  We almost missed the boat on this road trip.  Late yesterday afternoon, my 6-year-old daughter threw up.  I’ll just say that pretty much sums up our winter.  We haven’t gone anywhere since the fall due to sick children and I am going a little bit stir-crazy.  So when my mother, who lives with us, asked if we’d like to go with her to Michigan for her bi-annual teeth cleaning (don’t ask) we packed our bags and asked when she was pulling out. Our road trip will take us from Connecticut to Michigan with my mother and my 6-year-old daughter and 17-month-old son.  Wish me luck or call me crazy.  This is our spring break.
