What’s better than finding out there’s a National Bowling Day? Finding out you get a free game on August 11! How? Just register and find a participating bowling center on GoBowling.com and download your free coupon. (You’ll also be entered to win an iPad).
Sadly, bowling is not an Olympic sport. Not yet any way. Still, bowling is a great family activity. We always go bowling whenever we host our own Stay-Cation. And in the summer when kids are out of school, we often take advantage of reduced rates for kids and go in HUGE mommy groups. If you’ve spent too much time on the couch watching others get moving during the Oympics, this is a good reason to get off the couch and take the family out to the bowling alley for an affordable night out in celebration of National Bowling Day.
If you’ve never heard of National Bowling Day, that would be because it’s brand new this year. Yup. They invented it out of thin air. Who knew that was possible? I mean, can I invent a random ‘day’? National Wear My Hair in a Ponytail Cuz I Didn’t Have Time to Shower.. oh wait, that would be more than once a year. Heck more than once a week! How about National Eat Out Cuz I’m Too Exhausted to Make Dinner Day? How about a National Mom Takes the Day Off!? That’s it. Let’s go with that.
Everyone loves bowling shoes. Right? Well not the part about sharing them, but ya gotta love the fashion statement! I’m all signed up for National Bowling Day. Are you?
Please note: Carissa was not compensated in any way for this post. Unless you count the free bowling. And since YOU can have your own free bowling, we aren’t counting that.
