10thingsAs you well know, much of Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince has been destroyed by the earthquake of January 12. Many of you will be wondering just what you can do to help.

My family supports an orphanage in Haiti called Brebis de Saint Michelle. Friends of ours recently adopted two sisters from the orphanage and my son George and I are due to volunteer there in the coming months.

haiti1Through my husband’s company we have managed to secure a trucking company that will transport a container full of dry goods to Miami, where it will then be shipped to Port-au-Prince. Our collections will be distributed to the ANA Children’s Center and Brebis de Saint Michelle Orphanage. They will also be made available to the communities that surround these facilities.

If you live in the Los Angeles area we have collections points for the 10 staples of life to help ease the pain of what lies ahead…
