Disney On Ice's Dare to Dream

Cinderella Rapunzel and Tiana resizedCinderella, Tiana, Ariel, Bell – all of the princesses show up in style at Disney On Ice’s latest production, Dare to Dream.  I had the opportunity to take my little princess, Milan, and two of our cousins to see the show for Atlanta’s opening night at Philips Arena and it was spectacular. I was happy to relax and enjoy royalty after returning from running the Chicago Marathon earlier this week. Done in true Disney style, the show was well produced, entertaining and of course magical for princess lovers both young and old.

The arena was filled with little girls donned in their best princess gear to relive Tiana’s tale in Princess and the Frog, Cinderella’s classic story, and the newest princess Rapunzel’s Tangled triumph. We had a ball singing along to all the popular songs and enjoyed watching the stories unfold on skates. The costumes were elaborate and vibrant while the special effects added an extra dimension to the show. Tiana’s fireflies were breathtaking, Cinderella’s shimmering ball was beautiful and Rapunzel’s aerialist act wowed the crowd.

It’s great family fun. Little girls LOVED it; and there were plenty of boys there enjoying themselves, too. As an adult it kept my attention and was very well put together. Watching the excitement in my daughter’s face made it priceless.

The Downside
Production-wise I have no complaints. Like most shows, there’s tons of merchandise to buy for the kids so be prepared for the onslaught of “mommy, can you buy me this!”

OUR LATEST VIDEOS

The show is in Atlanta through Sunday, October 16, 2011, and is on tour nationwide through March 2012.

Until next time, I’m off and running

Disclosure: I received media review tickets to attend the show; as always my thoughts and opinions are all my own.
