Flash travel sales are the new big thing this year, and with good reason. Families are looking to save money on just about everything, but still want to travel. Flash sales provide them with great deals for fabulous destinations. It’s a win for the hotels too – because they are able to sell available inventory that may otherwise go unsold. But, when purchasing from a flash travel site, keep in mind that there are a few caveats.
Here are some things you should look out for:
- Terms. Know when you can book, how many you can book for, and what the blackout dates are. These vary by site and sometimes by deal, so make sure you check the fine print.
- Refund Policy. Many flash travel sites don’t offer refunds, so make sure you are absolutely positive you want to purchase the deal.
- Transportation Costs. When booking lodging only, make sure you know what airfare will cost you before you purchase.
- Prices. Look around at other travel sites to make sure you really and truly are getting a fabulous deal.
Once you do the research, if it’s still a great deal, buy away! There really are some great deals to be had – you just have to do a bit of work first!
