The Four Seasons Orlando Disney Character Breakfast: A Must

The Walt Disney World resort offers several options for character dining where families have an opportunity to interact with their favorite Disney characters without lines outside the parks. The Four Seasons Orlando offers a Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals that is the one character meal every family should try once.

The Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World, which opened the summer of 2014, has its own character breakfast, and it’s called the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals. I encourage you to check it out because it is one of the best Disney character meals we have eaten and experienced.

Schedule for the Four Seasons Orlando Goofy Breakfast

The Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals is offered every Thursday and Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. till 11 a.m., and on select Tuesday mornings. During the months of July and August, the breakfast is held all three mornings each week. The cost $46 per adult and $24 per child aged 3 to 12, not substantially higher than any other character buffet experience.

If you’re interested, it’s important to ensure that you choose a day during your vacation that works well, ideally a day when you’re planning on spending time at your resort pool or on your last day before catching an afternoon flight.

Getting to the Four Seasons Orlando

Getting to the Four Seasons Orlando is easy if you are renting a car. It is located behind the Walt Disney Wilderness Lodge area. Without a car, using Uber or calling a taxi would be your only option to access the resort. The breakfast takes place in Ravello at the Four Seasons on the ground floor.

As you waltz past the lobby’s fireworks chandeliers and floral displays, head to the resort elevators to take you down to the ground level, but stop in the two resort stores on the way. There are some fantastic, albeit expensive, finds for any Disney loving fashionista— like custom mouse ears from Missoni and New York hat designer Eugenia Kim.

The Menu at the Four Seasons Orlando Disney Breakfast

The quality of the buffet is another reason this breakfast is one of my favorite character meals at Disney World. Not to sound like a fuddy-duddy but I get somewhat sick of seeing Mickey waffles under heat lamps.

Ravello’s buffet offers an excellent assortment of sweet and savory, healthy and hedonistic. All of the standards are there: custom omelets, various breakfast breads and pastries, plus really good coffee. Here’s another tip if you are a strong coffee loving parent: grab a cold-pressed iced coffee from Lickety Split on your way in our or out of the resort. You’re welcome.

My favorite aspect of the food buffet is its juice and smoothie station. I love any way keep our family healthy on a Disney vacation. Although they cost extra, they are perfect for when your children are too excited to eat their meal, and they come in to-go plastic cups. They have a fresh-pressed juice bar to get some kale into your system to sit next to that Dole Whip you ate the day before.

For the opposite type of drink treat, Ravello offers bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for $15 a person. This sounds like a bargain, but is really evil marketing genius. Most parents won’t be able to finish their first drink because they will be out of their seats so much at a family breakfast buffet. They will scream “Check, please!” with urgency after some unavoidable instance involving bad behavior or bodily fluids. And second, no legally aged drinkers who could finish their first drink would go there without kids. Well played, Four Seasons, well played.

The space designed for the breakfast works very well; it feels very mellow by comparison to other character breakfasts at Disney World. For reasons around licensing or some other legal mumbo jumbo, the Four Seasons doesn’t reference the fact that two very famous mice also make a regular appearance.

During our breakfast it felt leisurely and unhurried (Should have ordered that Mimosa package!) and, in time, we had two encounters with all three characters. As a result I was able to get fantastic photos— even better than the Disney photographer’s. The photographers will hand you a card for your photo Memory Maker that you can access in you’re my Disney Experience account.

We love the Four Seasons Orlando (read my complete resort review), and we visit it again and again even if we have no plans to visit the parks. It offers a tranquil and luxurious experience amidst a typically crowded and chaotic vacation at Disney World.
