There’s no need to wait until 4th of July for fireworks at Walt Disney World. In fact, you can see a remarkable show every single day (weather permitting). The Magic Kingdom holds the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular either 9:00 or 10:00 PM EST. Wishes includes Tinker Bell’s Flight, right before the fireworks begin and Star Light, Star Bright, an assortment of Disney Songs

Besides the Magic Kingdom, you can see the fireworks at the Polynesian Resort, the Contemporary Resort and boat rides on the Seven Seas Lagoon. The Pirates and Pals Voyage is an attraction itself and ends with a view of Wishes. Fireworks cruises are available including renting the Grand 1 Yacht, which offers private dining.

The Magic Kingdom gets very crowded before, during and after the fireworks. Wishes is also very loud. Consider bringing ear plug, especially for babies, young children and people with special needs. There is no roped off seating for people with disabilities.

Illuminations: Reflections of the Earth takes place in EPCOT. It combines fireworks, lasers and fire to tell the story of the Earth. Performed on the World Showcase Lagoon, it can be seen from most anywhere in the park. Before the show, the park lights are dimmed and torches around the lake are lit, which creates a calming effect. Held every night (weather permitting) at 9:00 PM EST, it is another popular fireworks display. Expect crowds, but there are many places to sit.

Some of the best viewing areas are on steps or second stories of buildings. You will be able to see from benches, sitting on the floor or even from the Boardwalk, but may miss some of the special effects. Roped off seating for people with disabilities is available.  To make Illuminations extra special plan a dessert party for a group of family and friends.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Fantasmic is another fireworks display. With a storyline, it includes pyrotechnics, dancing water and lasers. Watch as Mickey Mouse dreams of making this show, which turns into a nightmare when Disney Villains take over. Seating is available, but fills up quickly. It is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes before the show starts. Guaranteed, reserved seating is available with a Fantasmic Dining package.

You cannot view Fantasmic from other areas since it is held in an arena. Snacks, such as pretzels, ice-cream, popcorn and boxed desserts can be bought before and during the show. Since it gets dark during the show and scenes with the Villains are authentic, it may be too intense for children. There is specific seating for wheelchairs and ECVs.
