Heading to Epcot for its annual Flower and Garden Festival is a no-brainer for my family. We love moseying around the park and checking out the gorgeous flower and greenery displays that I can dream about cultivating in my own home but never will compliments of my lack of a green thumb.
For 2015, Walt Disney World has added some gorgeous new topiaries to swoon over. Covering 75 days and running through May 17th, the new topiaries are strategically placed throughout Epcot giving you a reason to mosey through it like we do.
Where to Find New Topiaries at Epcot
Keeping with the “Frozen” movie craze, Anna & Elsa make an appearance with beautifully-designed topiaries that seem to come straight to life. These two beauties are located in the World Showcase Plaza and have been hugely popular this year.
Want a blast from the past? Miss Piggy makes an appearance at the Italy Pavilion in the World Showcase.
Goofy and his chattering, cheerful pals Chip and Dale, along with Pluto and Daisy Duck, are right at the Main Entrance to Epcot, and with Spaceship Earth as the backdrop, are the perfect accompaniment for a family photo op.
Keeping with the Spaceship Earth theme, Spring is in the Air! features gigantic butterflies and vibrant colors and is located directly behind the popular ride at Epcot.
How are the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Topiaries Made?
Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival topiaries are made from more than 25 different types of grasses, mosses, and greenery. For the more detailed character faces, moss is actually painted on wire frames. Last year was the first time that Disney character topiary faces have such intricate detail and the process begin in the previous July!
