There has never been a better time to plan a Walt Disney World vacation than this summer! Take a look and see why THIS is the summer you need to be at Disney World.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park will bring to life the magic of nature during the new nighttime show Rivers of Light. This show will be unlike any other nighttime event at Walt Disney World.  The show celebrates the magic of nature coming to life and starts with an ancient lantern festival that draws out four Animal Spirit Guides  an elephant, an owl, a tiger and a turtle. These animals take shape as larger-than-life lantern floats, some of which measure 15-feet-tall and 30-feet-long, and were designed to look as if they were created centuries ago. Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment used innovative LED technology to illuminate the animals from within that suggests not only color, but changes in movement as the show progresses.

I am most excited for Rivers of Light. Animal Kingdom is absolutely stunning at night, and this show will really make it all the more amazing. Rivers of Light will premier on April 22 at Animal Kingdom in the Asia section of the park around the water.

Be sure not to skip Epcot this summer, as Frozen will come alive in the Norway Pavillion of World Showcase.

Frozen is arriving with all new immersive sailings on Frozen Ever After. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure where you’ll be whisked away for an on-the-water journey through Arendelle, set to the tune of your favorite songs from Frozen! Sorry parents but Disney won’t be letting this one go.

After your journey through Arendelle, be sure to take your Princess to the Royal Sommerhaus where you’ll meet Anna and Elsa.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios the Force will be unleashed with the all-new Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple and Star Wars Launch Bay.

Each evening you can watch Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show. While a dazzling array of colors burst above you, imagine the awe-inspiring sights of exploding starships during a legendary Star Wars space battle. What better way is there to celebrate Star Wars than watching a show written on the stars?

Beginning April 4, a new show will play out iconic moments from the film saga on Center Stage in front of the Chinese Theater, and will feature appearances from Star Wars characters like Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul. I hear we may also see Captain Phasma during this new show. No matter who is there it is not to be missed by Star Wars fans.

Once your park days are done head over to Disney Springs where new entertainment is expanding throughout the summer.

Celebrity Chef Art Smith is joining the Disney Springs community in the summer of 2016. Chef Smith is best known as a BBQ Pitmaster Judge, author of Art Smith’s Healthy Comfort and other cookbooks, founder of Art and Soul in Washington, D.C. and Table Fifty-Two in Chicago.

We are still awaiting The Edison, STK Orlando, and Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, all opening in 2016. My personal favorite is the soon to be open Sprinkles Cupcakes. I sure hope there is a cupcake ATM.

With even more new and exciting experiences than ever before, this unforgettable summer has something for everyone!

We hear there may even be a few surprises at Magic Kingdom Park and Blizzard Beach Water Park this summer as well.

What are most looking forward to at  Walt Disney World this summer?
