Don’t forget about Disney’s Boardwalk as a dining destination when planning your next Walt Disney World Trip. With a variety of options conveniently located between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s easy for most park visitors to pop over for a bite to eat when park hopping.

What are the dining options at Walt Disney World's BoardWalk?

The dining options at Disney’s BoardWalk are second only to the much larger and newly expanded Disney Springs. The benefit Disney’s BoardWalk offers is a much more convenient location for Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios visitors and any guests of the Epcot area hotels which includes the Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club, Beach Club and the Swan and Dolphin Resort. It’s easy to take a break for a meal when park hopping or before heading back to your room.

I’ve yet to try this family friendly microbrewery but the Kobe Burger and Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich look awesome. They also offer other adult beverages beyond beer, including mixed drinks and wine.

Trattoria al Forno is a casual Italian restaurant and the only sit-down restaurant offering breakfast on Disney’s BoardWalk. My mom and I had breakfast there recently. Beyond the traditional breakfast foods, including Mickey Waffles, the cured Italian meats caught my eye because I’m not a traditional breakfast food fan. It was a delicious brunch option for me paired with their fresh fruit bowl!

Trattoria Al Forno is not open for lunch but head back for dinner and their menu includes pizza, pasta and grilled fish.

The ESPN Club is one of my husband’s favorite Disney places to eat. With almost 100 video monitors and global satellite feeds, it’s definitely a fun place for big sports fans to eat and catch a game. The ESPN Club features classic American pub fare like hamburgers, seafood, and sandwiches.

The Flying Fish Cafe is a fine dining restaurant which means it does require guests to adhere to a dress code and is also on the pricier side. Currently, it’s undergoing refurbishment with no opening date available.

The BoardWalk Bakery is the perfect place to stop for a quick breakfast on your way into the park or a snack on your way out of the park. This is also one of the rapid fill refillable mug locations. Refillable mugs include unlimited soda, coffee, tea and hot cocoa for $16.49 for the entire length of your stay at select resort locations.

Plus, at the BoardWalk Bakery, you can special order cakes if you are celebrating something fun on your trip. They also offer the white and chocolate celebration cakes for pick up without any notice, like most Disney restaurants. My mom and I splurged on a white birthday cake on our last trip. The BoardWalk Bakery even customized it for us while we waited!

Stop here to grab a quick all American favorite including hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, buffalo wings, and nachos.

Located near the Luna Park Pool at the BoardWalk Villas, Leaping Horse Libations offers sandwiches, drinks and snacks.

Beyond a variety of margarita options, you’ll also find nachos, roasted pecans, and Mickey pretzels!! If you favor Dole Whips you might enjoy the Captain’s Seaside Sensation, a pineapple smoothie with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum.

Ample Hills Creamery

New to Disney’s BoardWalk is Ample Hills Creamery, a Brooklyn-based company known for their creative approach to all things ice cream.  Their unique flavors include Peppermint Pattie, Lemon Sky, Cotton Candy and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake ice cream. It opened a few weeks ago and is located next to the ESPN Club.

Dining at Disney's Boardwalk includes groceries from the Screen Door General Store

I’m happy staying at any of the Epcot area resorts but an added benefit when staying at the BoardWalk Villas is a kitchen in your room. Just stop by the Screen Door General Store on the BoardWalk to pick up groceries. With little ones I prefer to eat breakfast in our room but I also love having the option of eating out available nearby. Keep in mind the only table service restaurant offering breakfast is Trattoria al Forn

Live Entertainment on Disney's BoardWalk

Beyond dining, you can have a little fun by renting surrey bikes and riding around the boardwalk. You can catch live entertainment in the evenings along the boardwalk and adults can stop by the Atlantic Dance Hall or Jelly Rolls, a lively piano bar.
