Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to wild lands, experiential based entertainment, and worldwide awareness and because of that is held close to the heart of many Walt Disney World travelers. With many lands to choose from within the park, Dinoland is a favorite for our family because of the relaxed environment that offers us a chance to decompress a bit in the hustle and bustle of the day at the park; it is also home home to four restaurants and shops to make meals a breeze.
Carnivores will feel right at home at Trilo-Bites; during a day that can easily become filled with carb laden snacks, nothing says protein like “turkey legs”. If that’s a little too aggressive for you, they also have a pulled smoked chicken salad.
Trilo-Bites is located right at the entrance to Dinoland in Animal Kingdom and servings are certainly large enough to share which always earns a restaurant major travel points in our family.
Dino Diner is home to some long time park favorites where snacks are concerned. Dads will love nachos with cheese dip, kids will find their Mickey pretzels here and you can also find lighter snacks like cinnamon-glazed almonds. Dino Diner is also the perfect place to grab a cold beer on a hot day.
Shakes, ice cream, and churros…Oh My!
Need a quick snack while in Dinoland? Dino-Bite will have it. And they have the coveted churro as well as a “Bug Sundae” with gummy worms and cookie crumbles.
One can only handle so many snacks in a day – sitting down for a meal as a family is the number one travel tip I have. Children behave better when traveling – and so do parents – when they have a full meal, a chance to sit down for longer than five minutes, and when they can get a break from the sun and heat.
Restaurantosaurus is the sit-down restaurant in Dinoland at Animal Kingdom and provides a topping bar for burgers and sandwiches as well. Kids will find their favorite foods here and tweens and teens can enjoy adult meals without wasting food.
