The festive atmosphere in Dinoland is a big draw for kids, especially in the under 10 age group. The large, colorful dinosaur statues will be fascinating to both kids and adults. The USA Service Station booth hosts a typical Disney character experience with a photo op. The Chester and Hester’s Dance A-Palooza character themed dance party held twice a day is another opportunity to interact with some of your favorite animal characters.
Character Experience at Dinoland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
With its carnival like atmosphere, the character experience at Dinoland is especially suited for kids in under 10 age group. It takes a different form compared to other attractions at Animal Kingdom, such as safaris and close encounters with live animals.
The gigantic yellow dinosaur that beckons you to Dinoland was one of the most memorable characters for our son as he ran to greet him.
The green and blue two statues of Dinosaurs holding up the sign for Dino-Rama (area with carnival like games and rides) was also a big hit with our son as he loved posing with them.
Meet & Greet at Dinoland USA, Service Station
The Service Station located very close the entrance of Dinoland is also home to a typical Disney character meet and great with Pluto and Goofy. Make sure to check your My Disney Experience app to know when and where the meeting takes place. This will be a chance for a quick photo opp and autograph signing and will require standing in line.
The Chester and Hester’s Dance A-Palooza
The character-filled Dance Party at the entrance to the Dino-Rama typically occurs twice day and lasts 20-30 minutes. It’s the perfect chance to dance with some your Disney favorites like Chip ‘n’ Dale, Raifiki and Meeko.
The music will be a combination of children’s songs and old favorites like Macarena . Parents and kids can follow along to the moves of the characters. There will no posed photos or autograph signing at this time but there are plenty of chances to get up close and snap a photo.
