I take a lot of pictures while I’m traveling. I recently decided to focus more on my photography and purchased my very first DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera. It’s been a lot of fun experimenting with different lenses and settings, but all that gear takes up a lot more space than my little iPhone. So it was time to zoom in on a high quality camera bag that could carry my gear while still looking stylish. As I’m also a committed carry-on traveler, never checking luggage, my wardrobe has to do double-duty. My camera bag also has to function as a purse for other outings.
I got to try out Lo & Sons leather camera satchel during a beautiful fall weekend at Chicago’s new Loews Hotel. It was Loews Chicago’s first Harvest Festival. This was not your standard Midwestern fall festival. After all, Loews is in the heart of downtown Chicago, just steps from the recently updated Chicago River Walk, and a 5 – 10 minute walk from plenty of Chicago’s biggest attractions— Lake Michigan, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Cultural Center and Navy Pier. This was a rooftop pumpkin patch. No, you’re not going to find these kind of views at your standard scarecrow festival. Other than that, it was your typical fall festival in the Heartland, complete with a Biergarten and fun fall games like corn hole.
Loews Chicago has an unbeatable location for the photography enthusiast. Bird’s eye view of the busy streets from a cool rooftop? Check! Proximity to iconic sites like Millennium Park? Check! Fun activities for the kids? You betcha! I particular enjoyed strolling the stunning new Chicago River Walk.
The Lo & Sons satchel is perfect for long walks through the Windy City or a full day of photo shoots. This must-have camera accessory fit my camera body and attached lens, as well as my portrait lens (perfect for taking close-ups of my daughter). The outside zippered pocket was able to hold my phone, cash, credit card and keys.
The Lo & Sons satchel is functional and stylish with padded walls to protect your equipment. The divider allows you to separate lenses and other equipment.
