Staying comfortable is one of the most important factors when it comes to traveling, but does that mean you have to give up all sense of style? Luckily, you don’t! These 5 outfits perfectly combine comfort and fashion to get you to your destination in style.
Whether you’re traveling by air, train or car, traveling can be uncomfortable. You want to make sure you’re wearing the most comfortable clothing you can from top to bottom.Sweats seem to be a girl’s best friend when she’s traveling. They’re cozy, they’re comfy and they do well in all sorts of travel. The only problem with some of our “best” sweats is that they might not be the most fashion-forward. My most favorite sweats are 2 sizes too big and have holes on the bottom. I’d wear them traveling in the car with my family, but there’s no way you’re going to see me wearing them at my airport or train station.
So how can you be comfortable and still feel like you look (at least a bit) fashionable? Here are five different looks that are guaranteed to be comfortable, but also have a little bit of fashion-flair to them, too!
Look #1: Yoga Pants
There are some pretty fashion-forward yoga pants out there right now. They come in different colors and patterns. They come in different lengths (knee, ankle or long). And they come in different fits (loose, relaxed and fit). You can’t go wrong with a yoga pant while traveling because they really are ultra-comfy, but also so cute and fashionable, too!
Look #2: Fitted Hoodie/Fleece
I live in fleece and hoodies when I’m working from home. The best fleece and hoodies I have are the ones that are fitted. They don’t hang on my body and make me feel bulky. They’re VERY comfortable, but also have that fit component to them that make them look fashionable. Whenever I’m flying, I ALWAYS wear my black fitted fleece because it looks more like a well-fitted top than it does a basic zip-up fleece. Very easy to wear and (believe me) so cozy!
Look #3: Sweat Set
Oh, yes… if you’re looking for an outfit that is comfortable, invest in a sweat set. I’m not going to say a sweat suit because I feel like that’s for someone who is a pre-teen, but a sweat set can be very chic and trendy… and totally comfy! My suggestion, go with a dark color.
Look #4: Leggings and a Long Tunic
If you want to stay away from active wear/sweats, leggings and a long tunic are always a safe bet and option. You can find gorgeous tunics at any retail location, along with a variety of leggings. The beauty of a legging is that you can wear them with riding boots and flats to add to the chic factor.
Look #5: Relaxed Jeans and an Over Sized Cardigan
If you’re completely against wearing anything other than jeans (my sister-in-law is like this), go for a true relaxed fit. You don’t want anything to tight or to restricting because it could get uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting. On top go with an over sized cardigan, something you can just lose yourself in! So comfy and so cozy! And the best part about this outfit is you are ready to start your vacation without having to change out of sweats as soon as you arrive at your destination!
