PottyTrainMAINPotty training has begun in our house and it’s been a good three years since I’ve had to do this and I’m up to my ears in pee. My entire spring break was spent with a naked toddler running around my house and my preschooler and I wearing rainboots and watching out for puddles everywhere we stepped. But alas … my toddler is 75% potty trained. Then came travel time.

We were heading down to Oklahoma for the day and adventuring later on so my potty training skills while traveling were about to be tested. I grabbed my three potty-chairs to see which one worked best and my boys and I packed up and ventured out. Sure it would have been easy to just throw on the pull-up and worry about potty training until we finished our trip. But in the end … traveling is a big part of our life and there’s no better time than now to keep training him. And with the help of these three potty-chairs, there’s no excuse to skip the toilet while we’re on the road.

Baby Bjorn Toilet TrainerChair1

The Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer’s soft lines make the toilet trainer a comfortable place to sit and ensures that your little one is seated correctly. The trainer is easy to adjust to the toilet seat the first time you use it. After that, your child can simply put it on and remove it on his or her own. The Toilet Trainer is easy to clean and the inward sloping splashguard prevents spills outside the toilet. We use the full size Baby Bjorn Potty Chair at home and my son has proven excellent progress!

2-in-1 Potette Plus Potty

If you’vChair2e ever been on the road with a child who is in the middle of potty training and you needed to make a stop in a place with no reasonable restroom options, you know exactly why the Potette Plus Potty is such a great idea. This travel potty-chair folds up small so you can take it with you and has convenient inserts that absorb messes for easy cleanup. You can also use the Potette on a regular toilet to make it more toddler-size, so your little one gets a more consistent experience and gets the hang of using the potty a little faster.

Ginsey Products Soft Potty SeatChair3

The removable cushion makes cleanup a breeze while built-in handles ensure easy transport. This Ginsey potty is equipped with a built-in deflector for little guys. Now you can start them off on the right foot with the cushy Soft Potty Seat so that when your child’s “gotta go” is on-the-go, you have an instant, anywhere potty and your child can do his doody (pun intended) in comfort! What’s even cooler … Ginsey partnered up with Disney and some other popular kids icons to help bring endless design options for your child’s new potty-chair.

The days of limited choice in potty-chairs are gone. While you can still get the traditional wooden potty-chair with a removable bowl, there are lots of other options. Plastic potty-chairs that play music and convert into stepstools. Wooden potty-chairs that turn into rocking chairs for the toy room. And potty-chairs that fold up so you can take them on your travels. Sure, potty training is a major rite of passage for all children, but potty training while traveling can be downright stressful for Mom and Dad. But thanks to potty chairs that can now be great on the go for when your child has to go … we no longer have to stress about finding a toilet in time.
