It’s holiday time and that often means family traveling to your home. You want your holiday guests to feel welcome, even spoiled. The holidays are a busy time of the year. When you have visitors, the preparation can be more time consuming. But, putting your guests first makes you a good host and your guest feel pampered.
Guests Arriving From The Airport
If possible, pick your guest up from the airport to keep their costs down and to welcome them right from the start. Be sure that they have something to eat and drink. Have your bathroom ready with fresh towels, soap and other items so they can clean up and feel comfortable when they arrive at your home.
Guest Arriving By Car
Ask for a phone call when your guests get close to your home. Preparation is important and you don’t want to be caught off guard. It is best to prepare beforehand any way. Make up some snacks that can be eaten cold right out of the refrigerator. Have a meal ready that can be reheated quickly. Be sure the bedroom is set up nicely with clean sheets and extra pillows in case they need a nap.
What To Do While Guest Are Visiting
Being flexible according to what your visitors want to do is key to a happy visit. Ask what they want to do before they arrive and again when they are in your home. Some suggestions: share holiday family traditions, watch movies, look through family photos and have game nights. Visit local museums, theme parks, restaurants, and other attractions. Don’t be upset if your company wants to go out of town for a few days to see other areas.
