People have put some crazy things in their suitcase to bring on vacation, or bring home. While some of the items may make sense, others may just be insane. What is the craziest thing you, or someone you know, has packed?
My nephew’s wife, Nida, flew to Indonesia last week for two months to see her mother, who she hasn’t seen in 10 years. She brought the newest addition to the family — her 1-year-old daughter, Maddie.
I hear it was a joyful reunion for everyone. Nida also has three sisters who live there, so you can imagine all the hugging and kissing and crying that went on in that Indonesian airport.
Yes, they were excited to see Nida and the new baby. But mostly, they were ecstatic to finally get all the booty that they had paid Nida to bring from the United States. Armed with wads of well-traveled cash from her siblings in Indonesia, Nida has been on a huge shopping spree for the last three months, buying up everything on her sisters’ Wish List, enough stuff to fit in five suitcases. One suitcase was filled with nothing but cheese.
In this country, a good man is hard to come by. In Indonesia, it’s cheese.
So I got to thinking . . . I wonder what kinds of crazy thing people pack and have exported to other countries. A suitcase full of cheese. That’s hard to beat.
Can you top that?
