There never seems to be enough time when my family goes away for the weekend. No matter how we plan, it always feels like we’ve barely arrive and it’s time to pack up and go home. That’s why at our house, we’re saying TGITD….that’s “Thank God it’s three days!” We look forward to our three day weekends and love planning travel adventures for them. That extra day makes so much difference in our short term getaways. As we end the first three day weekend of the new year, let’s look ahead and plan for the next one – TMOM style, at the next #TMOM Twitter party.
January 18 #TMOM Twitter Party – Making the Most of Three Day Weekends!
Every few months, the calendar gives us a gift – a three day weekend. That’s three days off from our work, our schools, our regular schedules. Three days to embrace, enjoy, and have fun with each other. And what better way to do that than travel, right? If you want to make the most of the three day weekend coming up in February – or if you want to share the terrific adventure you just had on the January Martin Luther King Jr. weekend – you won’t want to miss our next #TMOM Twitter party, all about making the most of three day weekends!
Of course, in the winter, a lot of us think any weekend is perfect for skiing. Add an extra day on the slopes, and we’re there. Outdoor lovers can choose between skiing, tubing, or snowmobiling. Heck, when you have three days, why not do all three? And a three day weekend is perfect for those who haven’t tried skiing, as it allows a little extra time in ski school before taking on the slopes.
If you prefer indoor adventures, a three day weekend is the perfect time to take a road trip to check out the museums of a city within driving distance. Three days gives you plenty of time to see the aquariums, learn local history, or even check out a quirky roadside attraction or two.
Indoors or out, your family will love the time away and with each other. So why not plan your next three day weekend, with a little help from your friends at TMOM?
