Winter is the perfect time to escape to somewhere warm, and an all-inclusive beach resort is just what the doctor ordered for some stress-free rest and relaxation. Dreams Los Cabos combines all the must-have amenities for a great vacation – fabulous views, a world-class spa, three pools, endless activities and unlimited food and drink. Throw in some amazing, friendly service and you’ve just nailed your dream vacation.

Set along the sparkling Sea of Cortez in Mexico, Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa is a AAA Four Diamond Resort that captures the beauty and elegance of traditional Mexican design. We recently spent four dreamy days at Dreams Los Cabos and it was everything I hoped it would be! And since we live in California, Cabo is just a short two-hour flight from LAX.

The resort features 230 newly renovated suites, all with private balconies and breathtaking water views. The bathrooms are roomy and spa-like, with rain showers and really decadent toiletries, including sun screen and creamy body lotion.

Rooms also include a mini-fridge, restocked daily with complimentary soda, juices, water and beer, and great bathroom amenities.

We loved having a separate sitting and bedroom area. Our room overlooked the adults-only serenity pool and the turquoise sea beyond.

TravelingMom Tip: You’d think having a room above the adults-only pool would make for a quiet retreat, but as there were wedding receptions on the pool deck two out of the three nights we were there, it got kind of loud! If quiet is important to you, ask for a room on the other side.

    Dining at Dreams Los Cabos

When you are staying at an all-inclusive resort, the food is high on the list of things that need to be great. Dreams Los Cabos did not disappoint!

There are 11 bars and restaurants at Dreams Los Cabos, and we made it our mission to try each and every one of them! No easy feat considering we were only there for three nights, and since not every one of them is open for every meal (and some close certain nights of the week), making sure we hit them all took some serious advanced planning. Happy to say we reached our goal! The only exception was we did not have a chance to order room service, which is a real shame considering with the beautiful view we had and the table and chairs on our room’s terrace, room service would have been a lovely way to start the day!

Dining options at Dreams Los Cabos include four à la carte restaurants (two indoor and two outdoor), a buffet, a grill and a café. The resort has one adults-only restaurant, Bordeaux, which serves French food in a highly upscale atmosphere. A great option for date night while the kids are safely checked in to the Explorer’s Club.

The buffet is expansive and offers indoor and outdoor water view seating. We visited twice for breakfast. The food was good – a nice mix of traditional Mexican and American dishes – and they even had a smoothie bar. Also, right there with the OJ and coffee were free flowing mimosas and Bloody Marys, or just a plain old glass of champagne, if that’s more your thing. Dreams Resorts are all-inclusive, and it was so nice to see that they certainly don’t skimp on the liquor!

My absolute favorite though was not the fancy French place or the seafood restaurant or even the sprawling buffet. Believe it or not, my pick for best eats went to the Barefoot Grill, a beach front casual spot that serves nachos, quesadillas, hot dogs and burgers. Why?  Because instead of bar stools they have swings! And they are right on the beach! Do you really need more reason?

    World Class Spa

At Dreams Los Cabos, the Dreams Spa by Pevonia encompasses nearly 3,000 square feet and offers a variety of individual spa treatments and packages. I had a facial, and my husband enjoyed a massage.

The spa features two separate hydrotherapy areas, including: sauna, steam room and a Jacuzzi.

    Activities Abound

Three pools, beach chairs, golf and the spa could easily fill your time at Dreams Los Cabos, but there’s so much more! Here are a few of the activities we really enjoyed.

      • Archery
      • Rifle shooting
      • Horseback riding
      • Live entertainment at night
      • Movies on the beach (bring a sweater, it gets chilly after dark!)
      • Aqua aerobics
      • Tequila tasting
      • Dance lessons
      • Spanish lessons
      • Tennis
      • Beach volleyball

     Pick Your Dream

With 14 beachfront properties to choose from in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, Dreams Resorts & Spas come with Unlimited–Luxury, where everything is included –  accommodations, food, alcohol, live entertainment, beach chairs, an Explorer’s Club for Kids and much more.

The great thing about Dreams Resorts – even though they are super-kid friendly (Kids club! Water slide! Free activities!) – is they maintain a very upscale appeal with lots of adults-only areas. Indulging in a little “Me Time” is never a problem.

So if Cabo San Lucas isn’t your top pick, don’t despair! Visit Dreams’ website to find an amazing all-inclusive resort perfect your you and your family.
