“It’s beginning to look a lot like….” Well, you know how that goes. Yes, we’ve just started raking leaves, planting mums and watching football games. But here at TravelingMom, we’re looking ahead to the holidays….and of course that means holiday travel!

According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the holidays (the time between the day before Thanksgiving and the day after New Year’s, as defined by the web site) are the busiest travel time in our country. In the six days (from the Wednesday before to the Monday after) of the Thanksgiving holiday period, travel to destinations 50 miles or more from home increased by 54 percent in 2016. And despite the crowded airports we see on TV, 91 percent of the holiday travel is done by car or other personal vehicle. That’s a lot of people hitting the road to share turkey with family!

Numbers like these get us curious, and we’d like to know more about your holiday travel plans. That’s why we’re asking you to complete our short Holiday Travel Survey. It’s quick and easy – we promise! – and it will help point us in the direction you want us to take for upcoming holiday travel stories. Win, win!

And to make that even more appealing, we’re giving everyone who completes the survey and enters their email a chance to win a piece of amazing Ricardo luggage – a favorite throughout the TravelingMom network. All you have to do is give us your email after you complete the survey to be entered to win.
