The 29Rooms fun includes jumping into a ball pit filled with black and white balls in Panda-monium, a room developed with designer Nicopanda, and dancing on an LED floor to music by Tinashe. You can also listen to stories about women overcoming obstacles by pulling down one of 500 telephones suspended from the ceiling in Gurlstalk, or record an act of kindness at Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. There is also a bubble room, a place to draw on the walls and lots of selfie opportunities.

Technology fun

Technology is also on display; there are virtual reality headsets where you can “paint” with Tilt Brush by Google on a virtual canvas, change your look in a real world version of Snapchat called The Art of Beauty, and create a mural with a Fossil Q Smartwatch.

Although Brooklyn is the borough of bicycles, and New York City has seen a huge explosion of CitiBikes in the last few weeks, don’t miss the Garden of Energy by Ford. A Ford Fusion Energi is nestled in a garden with live plants and many of the sustainable materials used in Ford vehicles. Ten Fusion Energis will also shuttle visitors to and from 29Rooms to Bedford Avenue; if you aren’t familiar with Bushwick, pick up the 29Rooms guide to the area and explore.
