The end of summer doesn’t mean the end of free concerts and more in New York City. BRIC, producer of the free Celebrate Brooklyn! concerts in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, also has a fall “Stoop Series” on Tuesday evenings through early December.

Since the weather is changeable in fall, the informal free programs are held indoors. and they are not just music. There is storytelling, dance and comedy. All the Stoop Series  programs start at 7pm.

While all the events are family friendly, the Story Pirates After Dark, on November 18, is particularly appealing to those with young children.

You can even bring kids their milk and cookies to enjoy while they listen.

BRIC is also hosting a BK Media Maker Meet-Up, open to media makers from Brooklyn and beyond. Bloggers, photographers, filmmakers ad designers are invited on November 10, 6-9pm.

There are weekly poetry slams, and Tuesday – Sunday, you can explore the exhibit at the large gallery, free.

If you want to perform, look for the free Community Dance Classes, taught by Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, A Dance Company.
