When the PGA tour heads to Ponte Vedra Beach, in Northeast Florida this May for The Players Championship they will once again be hosting multiple events for military members, including free admission to the tournament and a free concert.
Wednesday May 8th is Military Appreciation Day at The Players. At 5:30 PM on the back lawn of the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse there will be a military appreciation ceremony followed by a free concert. This year Dierks Bentley will be performing.
Free admission to The Players Championship is available for all active duty, retired, and reserve military members and their dependents. To obtain free admission you must obtain a voucher in advance. Then the day of just show your valid military ID and the voucher at the entrance. Military kids do not have to have an id to get in, but they do need to be listed on the voucher.
On top of getting in free active duty, reserve and retired military personnel and their dependents will get to enjoy Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost®, a private hospitality venue for all, offering complimentary food, beverages and activities.
While in Ponte Vedra Beach for The Players Championship I highly recommend going to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States.
