blue Star MuseumsEvery summer since 2002, Blue Star Museums offers free admission to the nation’s service members, including National Guard and Reserve, and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

This year, more than 2,000 museums in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa are taking part in the program.

This year’s Blue Star Museums represent not just fine arts museums, but also science museums, history museums, nature centers, and dozens of children’s museums. If you are a military member you should check out their website anytime you are traveling and hit a museum or two! This is a great way to save money and see more at the same time.

I must warn you though many of the museums that have participated in the past are sadly not participating this year. If you have visited a museum in the past you should make sure it is still on the list.

Lucky for y’all we’ve been to many of these museums and can highly recommend some of them. Here is a few we’ve been to and loved.
