A Kids Club at a posh hotel used to be an after thought. But not so anymore. Resorts realize that family travel is big business. Answering that demand, the resorts creasted environments for kids so everyone in the family can have a fun, enjoyable, and age-appropriate vacation. TravelingMom of Many placed these 5 resorts with kids clubs on her radar in 2017.
When traveling, a good Kids Club is one of my favorite amenities. A good one enables my kids to have a great vacation, as well as allowing my husband and me to have our own great time as well. There is nothing worse than going away on vacation and coming back home needing a vacation. A good Kids Club can help ensure that the adults get a moment (or eight hours) to breathe and have a vacation too. Yes!
I have a list of places I want to visit with my family and the one commonality are phenomenal kids clubs. Here are 5 not-to-miss resorts with Kids Clubs on my list to experience in 2017.
5 Not-to-Miss Resorts with Kids Clubs
1. The Breakers, Palm Beach
When visiting the uber luxurious town of Palm Beach, Florida, you will want to stay at one of the most luxurious resorts in town (or anywhere). The Breakers Palm Beach is full of well-appointed details and provides all the luxury touches and amenities you would expect to find at posh resorts. And it is also one of the super family-friendly resorts with kids clubs for ages 3 to 12 years old.
Camp Breakers offers year-round unique and captivating programs that encourage children aged 3-12 years old to celebrate, explore, create and discover. Plus, the resort also has a unique restaurant with childcare! The Italian Restaurant is a cozy dining venue with terrific food located within the Family Entertainment Center. Parents can dine as their children play in a nearby room. Think five-star food with the convenience of a fast-food play area (but much nicer).
2. Atlantis Paradise Island, Paradise Island, Bahamas
Family fun and relaxing vacations go hand in hand at Atlantis, Paradise Island. I visited Atlantis on one of the first vacations I took with a cute boyfriend (who turned into a handsome husband) and I look forward to experiencing it again with my whole family! This is another one of those resorts with kids clubs (ages 3 – 12 years old) created to make family travel a lot easier. Filled with family fun and adventure for kids of all ages (and their parents), Atlantis, Paradise Island is a great place for a Bahamas family vacation.
Kids won’t want to miss diving into the Paradise Island’s kids club, Atlantis Kids Adventures. Kids can choose their own adventure within themed spaces designed specifically for them. The staff at Adventure Guides are ready to help with culinary lessons, interactive electronic art, theater, outdoor play, and more. Atlantis Kids Adventures is a place where kids will never know what they may learn and discover!
3. Beaches Negril, Negril, Jamaica
At Beaches Resorts, the kids club (ages 3 months to 18 years old) is included in the all-inclusive price. Yes, you read that right: kids vacations are all included in the cost of your vacation! Beaches has tailor-made the kids club just for them! Choose from age-appropriate activities where kids are always supervised. I found their staff to be some of the most caring people ever. You can tell all of them really love children. On our recent trip to Beaches Negril, my kids begged me to go to the Kids Club every single day. They complained if I picked them up early!
Beaches Resorts know how to celebrate the crazy energy of children of all ages and channel it into an unending slew of fun-filled activities. Sailing, snorkeling, swimming, beach volleyball, beach soccer, scavenger hunts, glass bottom boat rides, pizza making, reggae jam sessions and an unbelievable array of incredible options abound! The Beaches Kids Camp is dedicated to making sure that all kids have a blast, from sun up to sun down!
4. Grand Velas Los Cabos, Los Cabos, Mexico
Grand Velas Los Cabos officially opened its doors on December 20, 2016. The $150 million resort on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula is the fifth property of Velas Resorts! I look forward to experiencing this resort myself! Grand Velas Los Cabos offers all-inclusive amenities including 300 oversized luxurious suites, spectacular views, gourmet specialty restaurants, 24 hour in-suite room service. And you guessed it: this is also another one of the resorts with Kids Clubs.
For agest 5 – 18 years old, the Grand Velas’ Kids Club offers a safe, fun and creative environment to explore interactive activities such as soccer, treasure hunting, and cooking classes. The program provides fun activities, such as movies, storytelling, drawing and painting, origami, and board games for young children. Kids can enjoy the video area with a Home Theater, XBox and Wii. Check off that pool as this kids club also has akids’ pool with splash pad and playground.
The resort also has a Teens’ Club where kids aged 13-18 years old can enjoy their own mini vacation. The Teens’ Club has an extensive game room complete with the latest video games, a pool table, air hockey, ping pong, foosball, karaoke set with vintage dance floor and more.
5. Club Med SandPiper Bay, SandPiper Bay, Florida
Located 2 hours north of Miami, on the east coast of Florida, Club Med Sandpiper is one of the few true all-inclusive resorts in the continental United States. Set among lush vegetation, this is a beautiful part of the world to visit. The one thing that makes me want to bring my family is the resort’s emphasis on competitive activities. Club Med Academies allows guests to play tennis, golf or take fitness classes with pro coaches in amazing facilities. Plus, to make sure you can get in all the active time you want, they have age-specific kids clubs with unique activities.
This is one of those resorts with kids clubs that has thought of everything to give your kids an adventure-packed vacation, with discovery, sports and activities for each age group. From ages 4 months to 17 years, your family travel just got better with a kids club that includes sports, cooking lessons, arts and crafts, dance, group activities and other specially devised activities throughout the day and evening.
