Hogwarts-CastleThe world created in the Harry Potter books has come to life at Universal Orlando in full force at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you’ve read the books and/or seen the movies you will adore this part of the park.

You and your little muggles can wonder down Diagon Alley drinking a glass of beer butter (it’s non alcoholic) and eating chocolate frogs, while you shop at Eeylops Owl Emporium.

Not to be missed is Ollivanders™ the wand shop. There you will see a live demonstration of how a wand chooses its owner. Be prepared for a long wait to get into the shop.

At any given time you may see the Frog Choir or demonstrations from the students of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic or Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Rides

Here you can fly along with Harry Potter and his friends on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in a virtual world guaranteed to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen or done. If you get motion sickness take a Dramamine and ride it anyway, because it’s awesome. This ride has rider switch available for parents with kids too short to ride. Your little one will enjoy getting to see the inside of Hogwarts while moving through the line.

Diagon_AlleyFor those with older kids check out the The Flight of the Hippogriff™ a high speed coaster.

Also part of Harry Potter World is the Dragon roller coasters. These are both massive roller coasters and yes, they were formally known as the Dueling Dragons. It’s the same ride with a new name and it’s still extremely intense.
