That’s what makes staying at the Wedgewood Lodge in Breckenridge, Colorado a no-brainer.
Because our daughter was just learning to ski, we chose to take the free in-town bus that stopped at the Snowflake Chairlift across the street every 10 minutes, directly to the base of the ski resort and the beginner area. And if you need to rent skis, you can do that there too.
Besides the convenience of location, the Wedgewood Lodge also offers the comforts of home in the size of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. Our cozy, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath townhome had it all: gas fireplace, free Wi-Fi, 32” flat screen TV, cable, DVD/VCR, stereo/CD player and private balcony, which in February was piled high with five feet of snow. The kitchen was roomy enough, and fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare and serve our own meals, including a full size stove, oven and microwave.
So much comfort and convenience make the Wedgewood Lodge a well-earned, popular choice among visitors. And did I mention the underground parking? Your car stays dry and warm whether you choose to use it or not. Ski lockers are also located in the underground garage so you don’t have to lug your dripping wet equipment back to your townhome or condo.
