Las Vegas conjures up a lot of visions in our minds; none of which involve relaxation. Las Vegas is known for its loud music, hard parties, and sleepless nights. If you have a vice, you can surely practice it in Las Vegas, one of the most physically stimulating places on the planet. The sights, the sounds, the lights and excitement capture your senses from the moment you arrive at McCarran International Airport. So why go there for a quiet retreat? Perhaps you did not know that Las Vegas is the most concentrated spa destination in the world. There are nearly 50 spas on or near The Strip!

One of the most relaxing, clarifying, rejuvenating, life-changing trips of my life was a five-day solo trip to Las Vegas where I did a little spa hopping. This was a personal retreat for me. I was looking for answers and after my quite spa vacation in Las Vegas I had them.

My Las Vegas Spa Experience

My first spa was The Reliquary Spa at the Hard Rock Resort. I made this decision mainly so I could eat at Nobu after my spa day. After day at the Reliquary washed away the East Coast stress, I headed down the strip to a Stay-Well Room at the MGM Grand. The Stay-Well floor at the Grand

is designed with your emotional wellness in mind. If a building could be a life coach, this would be it. With everything from purified air to a Vitamin C infused shower, I absolutely forgot I was in the Las Vegas featured in “The Hangover.” The Stay-Well Aromatherapy massage was amazing and it is offered exclusively to guests of the Stay-Well floor.

If you are not yet fully convinced that Las Vegas should be your next spa retreat destination, I have one last experience that you must try. The pinnacle of spa experiences in Las Vegas is Canyon Ranch Spa Club at the Venetian. Try Soul Rejuvenation and the Seventh Heaven body treatment. After a couple of days at Canyon Ranch I could embrace the Las Vegas motto: “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” …along with my stress, fatigue and cluttered mind.
