We’ve never had a bad stay at a Holiday Inn Express, and Grand Junction proved no differently. Bright, clean and modern, the hotel lobby was a welcome sight after a four-hour-drive from Denver. Remodeled in 2012, this AAA-rated, Three Diamond hotel is also conveniently located close to Grand Junction Airport, but still far enough away to avoid the noise.
The Holiday Inn Express is the only hotel on the west side of town, yet still close to everything. We loved being just a five-minute drive from downtown Grand Junction and walking distance to the Mesa Mall. There are also over half a dozen great restaurants located within a mile of the hotel, including local favorite, Enzo’s Pizzeria and Italian Café.
The included amenities are what make a stay at a Holiday Inn Express such a great value. I can’t do without Wi-Fi, so it’s nice to have it included in the price of the room. My six-year-old daughter can’t do without a pool and hot tub, and this one had both. Plus, they were indoors and heated! My husband appreciates the free morning paper delivered to the room and a coffee maker. Also included: a microwave and mini fridge – very important for most families, as they are for us. But, most important of all: comfortable beds with plush linens and lots of extra pillows.
Their complimentary hot breakfast is also a huge perk for my family since we’re always on the go, but if you can spare a little extra time, it will be well worth the five-minute drive to the Dream Café on Main Street for some Mix and Match pancakes. I can guarantee it!
