Keystone, Colorado is always finding new ways to cater to families. Introducing the Pajama Family Brunch at Bighorn Bistro, where kids get their own room, buffet table, crafts and entertainment to keep them busy for hours and the adults get bottomless mimosas to accompany the gorgeous views! Just a few miles from Keystone Resort in Lakeside Village, Bighorn Bistro overlooks Lakeside Ice Rink – the largest Zamboni-maintained lake in the United States. Be sure to ask for a table by the windows as the scenery is as relaxing as it is dazzling. Norman Rockwell paintings are guaranteed to come to mind.
We arrived at Bighorn Bistro for Sunday brunch and found Santa Claus was visiting the kids in the Littlehorn dining room. Before hitting the buffet, we grabbed a photo opp and Reagan gave Santa her wish list, saving us a trip to the mall back in Denver!
A trip to the kid’s buffet table was next. Pancakes, eggs, fruit, yogurt and various baked goods were all at kid level. Reagan made her plate and then instinctively found the bacon and donuts on the adult buffet to round out her breakfast. Meanwhile, I was having an omelette made at the omelette station while I explored the rest of the buffet.
So many delicious and unique choices, I somehow fit it all on one plate. The stuffed french toast and cheese blintzes were to die for! The only thing left to decide on was whether to hit the Bloody Mary bar or go with the bottomless mimosas? Or, both?
After cleaning her plate, Reagan headed back into the Littlehorn dining room to dive into some crafts. She decorated a picture frame and built and painted a balsa wood airplane. I took advantage of the quiet time to enjoy my carafé of mimosas (no, I didn’t finish it) and watching the ice skaters glide around the rink.
At $24.95 or $29.95 with bottomless mimosas for the adult, $12.50 for kids ages 5-12, and 4 and under free, the Pajama Family Brunch is a great way to end your vacation in Keystone on a high note.
